Memetastic is a static website with a meme maker that runs in your browser. We built it to collect as little as possible.

Your pictures

When you add a picture to the meme maker, your browser opens the file on your device and draws it on a canvas. The picture is not uploaded to our server or to anyone else. The memes you save are created on your device too. When you close or reload the page, the picture and your captions are gone from the page.

The Copy image button puts the finished meme on your device's clipboard, like copying any other image. It does not send anything to us.

What we don't do

  • No cookies are set by this website.
  • No analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and no social media widgets or embedded videos.
  • No accounts, sign-ups or newsletters.
  • Fonts and scripts are served from this website itself, so loading a page doesn't contact any other service.

What the hosting provider processes

The site is delivered by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the page and protect the site against abuse. If Cloudflare's security checks show a challenge page, Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie for that purpose only. We don't use this data to identify or profile visitors.

Email

If you write to the address on the contact page, we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use it only to read and reply to your message. We don't add you to any list and don't share it with anyone unless the law requires us to.
